Backflips Against Bullying

This Tuesday, Gundagai Public School welcomes back the Backflips Against Bullying team. Backflips Against Bullying is high energy performance that combines amazing acrobatic and parkour demonstrations, with an engaging educational program on bullying. The founder of Backflips Against Bullying, Sam Wise, is motivated by entertainment and education, he states that, “When students are engaged, they learn. So, we engage them with Backflips, and we teach them about Bullying!” The team at Backflips Against Bullying operate under a three-pronged approach in addressing bullying: Build them strong – teaching resilience and practical tools to help victims of bullying; Social influence – empowering students to hold each other accountable; and Classroom consolidation – providing the school with comprehensive resources to continue the empowerment of students. The staff and students at Gundagai Public School cannot wait for the team at Backflips Against Bullying to deliver their interactive, exciting and most importantly empowering program this Tuesday.
