Positive Behaviour for Learning

Gundagai Public is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) School. PBL is a student well-being program which promotes positive strategies and behaviours to achieve social competence and high academic achievement. 

It is critical that students and teachers develop a shared language that focuses upon the achievements of these positive behaviours. Explicitly teaching and promoting social skills is at the forefront of this program based upon shared purpose and procedures.

There are three Positive Behaviour for Learning values which underpin school operation and student learning. They are:

Learning:  to strive to reach your full potential;

Responsibility:  be responsible for yourself, others and our school; and

Safety:  be safe towards yourself, others and our school.
