GRIP Student Leadership Conference

Last Monday, Kaylee, Grace, Darcy, and Ollie attended the GRIP Student Leadership conference in Wagga. GRIP concentrates specifically on training student leaders for their role as school leaders. Our team had an awesome day, participating in the interactive activities and learning from the GRIP leaders and leaders from other schools. Ollie enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about how leaders bring people in and develop a team approach, while Darcy noted the importance of being an active listener when being a leader. Kaylee discussed the importance of being a collaborative leader and bringing the voice of others in when making decisions. While Grace, enjoyed the session on making ideas work, and that good leaders have logical steps to achieve an ultimate goal. It has been great to see our 2023 leadership team, taking on all the information presented at the conference, and bringing back to school a refreshed approach to their roles as captains at Gundagai Public School.
