Premier's Debating

Our debating team participated in their regional debating final against Henty Public School. Their topic was based around whether primary school children should receive only feedback in assessments. Our team argued the negative and did a wonderful job in outlining all the reasons why it is beneficial to receive grades and marks in school. The adjudicator for the debate found it the closest debate she had judged this year, and really struggled to determine a winner. Eventually the affirmative team was awarded the win, which means our fantastic debaters are finished for the year. Although they were narrowly defeated, the entire debating squad has done so well this year, and we are very proud of their efforts. Congratulations to everyone involved in debating in 2023
